Navatech Ltd was contracted by Bibby Offshore to perform the seafastening of the MDL Reel Drive System (RDS) with a 9.2m reel weighing 87Te on board the Bibby Topaz as part of the BP Rhum 3 project.

The work involved the seafastening of the following items:
– Reel Drive System with a 9.2m reel weighing 87te
(NB: Bolted beams were added between the Port and STB grillages to "put both grillages at work" and reduce the amount of sea fastening cleats to deck and therefore mobilisation time)
– A&R Winch
– Tensioner and chute
– Bollard
