Navatech Ltd was contracted by Boskalis Subsea Services to perform the seafastening of a light weight Reel Drive system (RDS) onboard the Boka Polaris for the 2021 Total Campaign.

The system was an Aquatic Reel Drive System (AQPR-06D-80) able to work with reel up to 80Te

The RDS tower assembly includes two towers of 6Te each and one 6m reel of 67Te complete with product.

Experience gained by mobilizing heavier system was used by designing a new grillage to minimize the vessel mobilization time:
– One lift for the grillage
– Four cleats for the RDS grillage
– Eight Lashing chains attached to two deck beams fastened by six cleats in total.
