Rever Offshore contracted Navatech Ltd to design a new moonpool cover hatch for a well intervention work onboard the CSV "Maersk Inventor" as part of the Murchinson project.
The cover has been designed for a UDL of 0.5Te/m2. The cover was light, cost effective with the minimum required weld per connections using primary beam only, road transportable, and was easy to install in three parts with few small seafastening shear stop. The challenging part was the large moonpool size!
