
A "mini HLS" was requested for the Total Forvie Umbilical Lay project onboard the Rever Polaris. The umbilical was stored on a storage reel and tied to a winch wire for deployment through a chute.
The workscope included:
- Design of the Flowline Chute supporting frame
- Modification of the chute to ease the handling of the umbilical
- Firing line bolted connection strenghtening
- Goal post design to re-route/support the umbilcal
- Design of the sacrificial grillage for a 20Te HGG25 winch de-rated to 5Te WLL
- Design of the sacrificial grillage for a 5Te FA5 air winch used to deploy/recover the the mass flow excavation clump weight
- Design of the access platform/handrail/Secondary structure for the grating
– Seafastening and deck strength check aboard the Rever Polaris
– Rigging design for the "mini HLS" to be installed in one lift (50Te static weight)
– Rigging design of the chute frame only
