
Navatech Ltd was contracted by Bibby Offshore to assist with the structural side of the Solan Development field.
The work involved structural/lifting design of various equipments onboard the Olympic Ares for 3 mobilisations.
This includes:
• Manage 2 draftsmen (full time). More than 40 drawings were issued
• Liaise with DNV to get approval
• Liaise with project team to get information and propose design
• Seafastening of 3x200Te reels and 110Te Reel Drive System (RDS)
• Seafastening of 55te chute and rigging design
• Seafastening of a 35Te.m crane
• Clump weights (23Te, 5Te & 2Te) and containers seafastening
• 21Te lifting frame design
• Review of calculation (Turning point design, Pull end design)
• Review of third party report for DNV approval
• Vessels visit to check structural work were done as drafted
